Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon involving a stimulus (an image or a sound) wherein the mind perceives a familiar pattern of something where none actually exists. Common examples are perceived images of animals, faces, or objects in cloud formations…


P\AIR/IDOLIA started with a flight at about 6000 ft., seeing the sun glance off a series of rivers in such a way that they took shape as animals, people, and such.  Much like one would make shapes out of clouds, she imagined a concept of literally painting this landscape.  Jan, being more of a literal, right-brain artist, knew the perfect creative mind with which to p\air this idea…
